***Important Message to All Racers and Their Crews—Past, Present, and Future.***
As the RMF continues to grow, so does the number of participants and followers eager to join or experience the event.
We deeply value the camaraderie and passion shared in the pit area, but we’ve noticed a growing issue that requires attention.
Crew Guidelines for the Pit Area:
Each invited racer may bring up to 3 crew members:
1 co-driver/rider
2 mechanics (or family members acting as crew).
Regardless of their personal role to you, ALL crew members must adhere to pit area rules:
1. Dress in period-appropriate attire styled to the year 1947.
Avoid rockabilly, modern hoodies, sneakers, or high school jackets.
Opt for canvas, leather, suspenders, simple shirts, or vests—affordable options are often found in second-hand shops.
2. Support you as a racer and contribute to the spirit of the event.
3. Follow all directions from officials and marshals promptly.
Photography Restrictions:
In recent years, we’ve faced challenges with crew members gathering near the starting line with professional or semi-professional camera equipment. This creates safety concerns and we spend way too much time trying to direct photographers that does not have a Press Pass.
While casual mobile phone photos are fine, only accredited photographers are allowed to take photos in the pit area. Please respect this rule and ensure your crew is focused on supporting you, not being a photographer.
Rule Enforcement
This year, we’ll be strictly enforcing these guidelines. Crew members not adhering to the rules risk removal from the track and pit area.
We want you to WANT to play along fair, to enjoy this event to the fullest and play along with our 1947 theme. Together, we can create an unforgettable experience for everyone.
We look forward to seeing you this August!
Event dates will be announced soon.
Best regards,
The Race Chiefs
